Fringe is an American science fiction television series created by J. J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. The series follows a Federal Bureau of Investigation "Fringe Division" team based in Boston, Massachusetts under the supervision of Homeland Security. The team uses unorthodox "fringe" science and FBI investigative techniques to investigate a series of unexplained, often ghastly occurrences, which are related to mysteries surrounding a parallel universe.
This a powerful and interesting show.Once you start to watch it you will always want to finish it.it's almost similar to x files but has a very  great twist.

The X-Files is an American science fiction television series and a part of The X-Files franchise, created by screenwriter Chris Carter. The program originally aired from September 10, 1993 to May 19, 2002. The show was a hit for the Fox network, and its characters and slogans (such as "The Truth Is Out There", "Trust No One", "I Want to Believe") became popular culture touchstones in the 1990s. Seen as a defining series of its era, The X-Files tapped into public mistrust of governments and large institutions, and embraced conspiracy theories and spirituality as it centered on efforts to uncover the existence of extraterrestrial life.

The Thing is a science-fiction horror film directed by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr., and written by Eric Heisserer and Ronald D. Moore. It stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Joel Edgerton. It follows a team of Norwegian and American scientists who discover an alien buried deep in the ice of Antarctica, realizing too late that it is still alive, consuming then imitating the team members.
Directed by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr.
Produced by Marc Abraham
Eric Newman
When you go to watch a prequel to a classic  movie you expect to see something very different and tight not the same thing all over again. Now the way  film makers are abusing  the new C.G.I, it's so ridiculous.
